The first game of the season never fails to ignite excitement and anticipation, and this year was no exception. As our players took to the field on a cold Tuesday evening, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and nerves. Some nice plays were made, tremendous hits and impressive pitching. The game concluded with a nail-biting score of 12-10, that kept everyone glued to the action.

Despite seeing their 6-run lead whittled down by the end, U13 North Shore Stars (2012) still held off for a 12-10 victory on Tuesday.
U13 North Shore Stars (2012) collected six hits and Cloverdale Fury 2012B 13U had eight in the high-scoring affair.
U13 North Shore Stars (2012) got on the board in the top of the first inning after Tarryn F drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
U13 North Shore Stars (2012) scored three runs in the top of the second with a home run by Naomi M.
Eden C earned the win for North Shore. The pitcher allowed six hits and six runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering six runs (three earned) on one hit, striking out two and walking seven. Alison L appeared in relief.
Naomi led the team with two hits in two at bats. Tarryn, Zoe P, and Naomi each drove in three runs for the Stars. Alison led the team with four walks. Overall, the Stars had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Alison stole two bases.North Shore Stars ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game.
