The U13 North Shore Stars (2012) continued their hot start to the season on Thursday, picking up their third straight win with a 15–9 victory over Langley.

Now 3–0, the Stars once again showed off their balanced attack — combining disciplined at-bats, smart base running, and clutch hitting to stay unbeaten.

After falling behind early, the Stars stormed back with five runs in the second inning, highlighted by Naomi’s two-run single. They kept the pressure on with another five-run frame in the third, as Daisy knocked in a run and Eden brought home two more.

The offense kept rolling in the fourth. Zoe drove in three with a groundout, while a walk and wild pitch added two more to the total.

Eden struck out five in two innings of work, with Alison closing things out in relief.

Naomi and Daisy each tallied two hits, while Naomi added three stolen bases and two RBIs. Eden also drove in a pair. At the plate, the Stars were patient and sharp — drawing 12 walks, including two apiece from Tarryn, Alison, Lily, and Chloe.

“We’ve been aggressive with the bats, and it’s given us a lot of confidence seeing the ball come off the bat,” said Naomi. “All the hard work in the offseason is paying off — and it’s fun scoring a lot of runs.”

“Our hitting has been key to the hot start, along with some solid pitching from our girls,” said head coach Ren. “It’s been a combined effort on that front. Our pitchers, for the most part, never seem to let the other team’s runs rattle them. They’re staying focused and continue to stay locked in.”

With three straight wins to open the season, the Stars are building momentum and playing confident, connected softball.
